This photo shows where I made the modifications, shortening the length of the mold from 15.5 inches to a little over 13 inches.

click to enlarge I prefer the molds I made with the squared/flat end sections. It gives you more "wiggle room" for your wine bottle.

click to enlarge Sagged Wine Bottle.  These are wonderful and unique gifts.  The bottles can be used for spoon rests, condiment holders, cracker tray, change holder... etc.

These are some of the cheese boards I made by flattening wine bottles.
In this case, no molds are used, the bottles are placed on a prepared kiln shelf and fast fired to cone 014.

After firing, I sandblasted the designs, then added cork to the bottoms and tied a few strands of raffia to the "bottle neck" for a nice finish.
