Back in 2001 when our club voted to allow glass to be sold at our porcelain shows, I had no ideal it would ever apply to me. As for the bead making, I prefer COE 96 glass rods and a Notrel torch, I use an oxygen generator and propane as my heat source. All my glass, including the beads, are kiln annealed several hours for strength and durability. I hate I'm such a horrible photographer, I would love to have gotten close-ups so you could see the dichroic glass inside the fish bodies. The more whimsical (okay, ugly) they are the better they sell. Regrettably I didn't get a chance to take photos of the bracelets or necklaces I made from my other glass work beads. I was absolutely thrilled that my new art venture was received so well by the public, and better yet, it sold! |
