Yeap, the cost of gas has put a hurting on everyone. Last year we had a hurricane zooming in on us. So all in all I expect the attendance will be about the same as last year (flat). The one good thing we have going for us is that we have a "captive" audience. These people wait all year for our show. They know they are buying hand painted, one of a kind items that can not be purchased anywhere else. The ladies charge reasonable prices.
Six years ago our club made nearly $100K in two days. We were down to $70K last year and we are fully aware that it could be worse this year.
As for the kitchen -- it's ALMOST finished... my part is DONE, but Joe still has to finish the grouting on the wall and back-splash. For sure photos will be posted. We both are very pleased with the out come. The flooring wrapped it up! I love it.
We are off 4 days next weekend, so he'll finish it up during that time. We are waiting until AFTER the Christmas holidays to tackle our bedroom. We still need to install the wood flooring in there. We'll have to put the bedroom furniture in the living room for a month or so until the flooring is done. The bad part of the flooring is having to replace the base boards, that's where the hold up is. Especially in the closets. Very, very time consuming. As far as installing the floor, heck he'll do in in less than a day. Since we'll have everything gutted out of the room, we've been painting.
