Skutt KM818. Its the perfect size!
Glass... yes, you can use your little kiln.
You have to fill it full of posts and extra shelves if you have any that small. You only need a small area for fusing. You can stack the posts on each other, or in a circle around the walls of the kiln. The purpose of extra kiln furniture is to help hold the heat in the kiln so that it will cool slower to anneal and round out the surfaces. You would start at low for 1 hour, medium for 2 hours (all holes open and lid can be cracked about an inch as well) and then flip to high. Close all holes/lid when you switch to high and leave everything closed for at least 12 hours!
Use Cone 016 to the thick side of the cone (a slightly hotter firing)
I can't hardly wait to show you what I'm working on. Alas, I have 90 more tiles to glaze tomorrow and hopefully I'm finished. I worked today at Harris putting up Halloween stuff. So my weekend is shot, for all practical purposes (come to think of it I am too.... shot!)
