So I go carried away when I started posting photos in the PIP.
There are photos of a nativity, ornaments and half doll posted in the PIP that I took a week ago --- some are in the porcelain bisque stage. Since those photos were taken, I've glazed and fired the bisque pieces. These were all painted with highfire Spanish Oils (Lladro style). As soon as I am finished with them (gold on the star and Opal on the star burst) and a few touch ups (I forgot to paint eye brows on Mary and Joseph, with Spanish oils -- you can't tell what you've pianted and what you haven't painted.) I post the final photos.
This weekend I'm back to making reindeer pins. Todayu I got caught up on all my orders that came in last week -- which calls for another WOOHOO! and after I teach the porcelain clay candle holder class on the 23rd, I'll start china painting for the show in November.Hmmm, did I tell you I'm not the least bit bored?
But my most satisfying feat was to get The Yellow Rose (lace drape doll) out of the kiln with complete satisfaction this afternoon. Sigh. I hope the pressure from the air brush (glaze gun) doesn't blow her dress off. hehehe
