In Paint Shop Pro:
Click "Open" and find the photo and double click.
Click "Image"
Select "Resize"First change the "Resolution" to 125 pixels/inches
Then change the "height" to 5"Everything will adjust accordingly
Click Okay. That’s it.In Outlook Click New Message, fill in the email, subject.
Place your cursor in the Message Box (where you type your message) and click.
Select "Insert"
Select "Picture"
Find the photo and double click. The photo will be inside the message box. Point your mouse to ANY of the four corners and click on the corner. All four corners are now activated and will show as ticks. Drag the mouse IN towards the center of the photo to downsize the photo.
Send the email to yourself, and you'll have the smaller version, which you can save by renaming -- for instance if you resize mrsclaus.jpg, you could rename the file to mrsclaus_sm.jpg.
But for sure, you need to get those big files off your hard drive; they will slow down the performance of your PC and ultimately cause crashes.
