Kitchen Update

We are still working on the tiles. DH is still pressing clay.

We counted yesterday, and think we'll be finished with all the clay pressing this coming weekend. That means it will be a week before the clay has dried enough for me to clean and fire.

Yeap, the light at the end of the tunnel is getting BRIGHTER!

The base cabinets are still in the living room, but they have company, the new stove, new dishwasher are sitting in there next to them.

The white carpet... welp, it ain't white no more! hehehe. We dragged all the appliances thru the front door on the carpet. You should see it! But we could care less since it will be trashed in another month or so when we install the wood flooring.

Joe laid the tile on one of the counter tops yesterday (the peninsula), he expects to finish the "pass thru" Saturday, and then start cutting the countertop for the sink area. He's basically doing one counter top at a time. This way we still have a place to fix our meals and eat.

Don't know if I mentioned it or not, but I have a new Electronic Skutt. It's a biggie like the Paragon we rolled down the yard for the trash man several months ago. It's really come in handy with the hundreds of tiles I've painted and glazed. The kilns are stagged when one cuts off, the other is ready to start. The tiles take up so much space, you can't get but 16 to a shelf in the big kiln and 6 in the little kiln. The tiles can't hang off the shelf, or they will warp. You can imagine what my electric bill was last month!

Talk about a HOT work room. Whew.
