Spanish Oils

I have really been enjoying using the high fire Spanish oils on my ornaments these past few weeks.

When I painted Elvira, I decided to use the flesh colors on a few ornaments and tassel dolls. The ornaments were then finished with vibrant underglazes. The clown dangler's neon yellow, orange and greens are fantastic! Santa's neon red is as red as it gets! I still want to apply the opal luster and assemble, then I'll post on the PIP.

This weekend I'm gonna do a lace drape doll...provided I can get dh out of my hair. I swear the kitchen remodeling consumes all of our time.

Anyhow, I plan to use the "light flesh" spanish oil on the Lace drap doll's flesh and yellow for her hair, etc. I would love to get it done in greenware so I won't have to go back and china paint the face detail.
