Take a sponge and dampen (yes dampen) the area that the cracking is occurring. Yes! Go ahead and Pounce the mold. Then blow into it like crazy to make sure all the dust is out Put on your "big eyes" and look inside the mold for dust to make sure there are no build ups. The only time a "shine" is left is when you can "see the dust."

Are you taping the mold (from the top/pour side - not the bottom side) with a mallot?

While the mold is setting up, turn it upside down to keep it from cracking/drying out too fast.

Simply put, the mold is drying our faster in some areas than other areas. Thus the cracks.
