A Letter From The Nordquists

Hello Dear Doll Friends,
I am so excited this year to write my annual letter of thanks for all your patronage, for without you there would be no successful Collectible Doll Company. I love to share the newest products , molds, and patterns with special discounts too. Well, this year is no exception. In fact we have the most exciting news yet to announce and a wonderful special connected with it.
Ken and I are most pleased about a major change for our business. We have sold most of our product line to our long time friend and distributor, Beckie Decker, of Cedar Hill, Texas. This is a win, win situation for us, for Beckie, and for you, our customers. Many of you may already know Beckie as the owner of “The Bell
Collection” which she purchased from Bell Ceramics in 2005. With that purchase state of the art plaster mold making equipment was acquired. The turn around time for mold production is about to greatly shorten. Being located in a fabulous facility in the greater Dallas area, this is will reduce the shipping costs for many of you as well as transit time. Beckie is an avid collector of choice antique dolls, which she will bring to
the doll making market. She has a keen eye for the unique, rare and unusual. We feel she is well suited to carry on in the tradition we have established over our 28 years of operation. Under Beckie’s leadership the lines that Collectible Doll Company has always offered will continue to expand. Look forward to seeing her at many shows in 2007 with new rare molds, Collectible Doll Fashions, Thurlow Original Knits and Crochets,
Global wigs and supplies, Cat’s Paw jewelry, and Jean’s Signature System China Paints.
You might wonder why in the world did we sell our business. This year Ken and Jean turn 65...can you believe it? But don’t think we are wanting to retire. Oh, no. We now have three new goals to pursuit. As many of you know, our passion has turned to antique paper. That would include the buying, selling, and designing with it. I hope to continue creating my Victorian Paper Designs available exclusively through Beckie. Branching
out into the world of scrapbooks is a definite possibility. My second goal is to make and sell finished dolls and projects. Our last goal is to actively buy, restore, and sell anti que paper, toys, tool chests, and other smalls through antique shows and malls. These activities all involve some travel and shows which we still
love doing.
Beckie is most interested in retaining your loyalty and patronage. As her way of introducing herself she would like to offer you 1/2 OFF SHIPPING on any of the molds on her latest new release flyer. All our customers will retain their usual discounts as well. We have also included our flyer of new 12” fashion dolls i ncluding two new heads, Mold Nos. 567 Helena, a rare S&H lady and 563, Nicole, a beautiful FG French Fashion.
On the reverse are the 5 fashion patterns available to fit these dolls as well as the 12” fashion presentation project. When you order any combination of three of these items, you will receive your choice of one pattern free as a thank you gift.
All three of us are working hard to transition Collectible Doll Company to Texas. We envision mold production to cease in Sequim, WA mid January and commence again by the end of February. The phones and web will turn over to Texas the week of January 15th. There should be no down time for product other than molds. We have all else ready to ship now. We wish you all a happy and prosperous new year. If you would like to take advantage of this offer please
place your order by March 1st. If you are able to attend the Puyallup Doll Show March 17-18, we’d love to introduce you personally to Beckie. We feel certain you will enjoy knowing and working with Beckie for many years to come. And again thank you for your years of patronage and support.

Best wishes,
Jean, Ken, and Beckie
